We have a great time taking in the sights by just driving around on back roads (which are not on our maps) which take you through small fishing villages which dot the shoreline. We came across a small fishing village (about 5 miles from Lunenburg) called Blue Rock. Here are some of the views of the fishing fleet.

You can see the lobster traps which are ready for next season. The tide here is only about 5 to 6 feet. Very small when compared to the Bay of Fundy!

A very interesting fishing boat.

Many of the fishing boats are painted bright colors. The rocks in this area have a blue color tone. So this small village is called Blue Rock.
